At the Sinn Fein party conference last week, there was the expected praise for Martin McGuinness.

Yet unionists are upset, that nationalists should honour their dead.

wee link

A couple of weeks ago, the whole country had to stop whilst unionists honoured their fallen heroes. Some people are even shamed into buying poppies.

Is this not the biggest of double standards?

My view on things is to let the Scots have Antrim and Down then do a population swap, Catholics in east move west and Protestants in west move east, if that was done 300 years ago then there would have been no Troubles. There will never be a unified Irish people any other way, I just know that as a fact, any man with sense would see that.

And while they're swapping houses you could throw in a bit of wife swapping too, just as a sweetener and to spice things up.

Do you live in the East or the West Orior?  You could be moved to Fermanagh and get Arlene Foster!

I live in East of Orior, East of Armagh, East of Ulster, West of Britain, West of the UK and West of Europe.

No matter what you think of Geldof his actions and subsequent publicity have brought the issue of ethnic cleansing in Myanmar to the Board.  Just imagine we might even get around the considering the plight of the people in Yemen

I suppose the difference is that nobody every though the Saudi leaders worth of international honours, whereas Aung Sang Suu Kyi was portrayed as a sort of Asian Mandela, which she obviously is not.

Perhaps she was early in her career.

But then there is an old saying that power goes to the head. Probably coined during the Roman Empire.

What is opposite of a recommendation?

That Len Goodman show (he from Strictly) is the absolute worst show ever. Ever.

So whenever you said “heroine of OWC”, you meant “heroine of some fuckwits on social media”.

Wouldn’t it just be easier to say what you mean?

Okay, heroine of some OWC fuckwits on social media

CORRY EVANS STATEMENT

'On behalf of my wife, I would like to apologise unreservedly for the content and language contained in the Tweet that she issued last night.

'The comments were published in the heat of the moment and are not representative of her views.'

‘Heat of the moment’ might be when the incident happened or at the final whistle.
She tweeted that at 8:32am the next morning.

Ah that explains it - she was on heat.

Will the Norn Iron fans be swinging both ways and support the Republic tomorrow night?

I suspect the ones carrying the NI flags, sporting the poppies, and singing 'no surrender' will not be swinging both ways.

The few NI fans that have also attended their county club final are probably swingers.

Yesterday's memorial said that the victims were murdered.

Anyone else wonder if murder is the correct term?
