Can someone explain why th convent had not more time to prepare for this massive game. Is it to do with the timing of the Mac Rory final or the body setting the fixture day for the semi final. Its just not right.

Probably the timing of the Mac Rory Cup final. Killarney played Ballinrobe  in the other Semi final on Saturday.

Cavan played Wexord u2s1 in 2011 3 days after the Ulster final. They start the and finish the ulster competitions too late.

I suppose having the game live on BBC NI on St Patricks Day means the Ulster council are pretty much stuck to that date for the final but with the Hogan Cup on April 1st I'm sure they could have played the game this Saturday.

Aye but I don't think BBC NI would cover the final if it wasn't on St Patricks Day. Its a massive thing for the players to get that opportunity.

Their exams are of much greater importance and in football terms county minors should take precedence.

This will never happen as Ulster GAA is run by teachers/former teachers anyway!

At some stage young lads need to give their full attention to leaving certs etc.
Brendans Killarney beat Colemans Claremorris in semi.
