There seems to be a rather one-sided picture of Canavan being painted by some folk. He did receive some awful treatment on the pitch at times, but Canavan was guilty of some cowardly and disgraceful acts himself. Diving, feigning injury, hitting out at people, cynical fouling etc.

This side detracts from how I view him overall. Great footballer but some inexcusable behaviour on the pitch.

That's a silly comment. An irrelevant domestic trophy is hardly the big stage. Spurs are second in the League and were playing the probable Champions.

I would dispute it. Canavan was a great footballer but his inability to control his temper allied with his cowardly cynical fouling and feigning injury to get other players sent off detract from his undoubted ability for me.

Like others I'm always behind when it comes to shows...
Finished boardwalk empire .. brilliant show and fantastic ending - never expected that.. well impressed.

Now I need a new one ?

A few suggestions, happy to narrow it down if you're after a certain genre:

The Wire
Breaking Bad
Mad Men
True Detective (Season 1)
Black Mirror
In Treatment

The Trip
Curb your Enthusiasm
Flight of the Conchords
Silicon Valley

One to watch with the wife /girlfriend that turns out to be better than you expected:
The Good Wife
Orange is the new Black
Big Little Lies

Subtitled Drama:
The Bridge
The Killing

Are there any transgender players within the GAA? Do the GAA rules address gender fluidity at all?

I know there have been several high profile cases in other sports which caused controversy.

O'Connor is possibly the most overrated forward in the country in my opinion. I have seen nothing to suggest he is or will ever be a genuine top class inter-county forward.  Andy Moran is twice the footballer albeit he doesn't have the legs for it these days.

Mcdonald was a special talent, with a unique style which made him a joy to watch. He wasn't the heaviest scorer but some of his kick passes were just brilliant to see.

Barcelona did it to them a few times too obviously, but there was something about those Bilbao performances which was great to watch.

I've never seen Utd so comprehensively outplayed under Ferguson as they were by that Bilbao side. It was marvellous to watch.

I didn't. Apology accepted in advance.

I don't doubt that you are unable to do that. Fair play to you for admitting it.

Enjoy retirement. Probably could have squeezed another year out but it's not to be. One of Armagh's best players in the last 20 years. As for being a limited footballer, I think someone is just disagreeing for the sake of a bit of trolling

I'm just giving my honest opinion. Please don't accuse me of trolling just because you disagree with me, it's quite reductive and unfortunately seems to be the default response from those unable to accept an opinion which differs from their own.

Derry never got the best out of him but he's arguably been the best player in club football in Derry in the last 15-20 years.

I'm puzzled as to why you would ask if my opinion was based on newspaper reports when to the best of my knowledge there isn't a single report which describes Mallon as a limited footballer.
